App: Cornerstone: Exam Study · Developer: Sachin Singhal
An account in Cornerstone is optional. It exists only to back your study progress up so that a reinstall or a new phone does not start you over. If you have never created one, there is nothing to delete — nothing about your studying has ever left your device.
Email singhalsachin2003@gmail.com from the address your account uses, with the subject Delete my account.
That is the whole process. You will get a reply confirming the deletion. If you email from a different address, you will be asked to confirm ownership of the account address first — otherwise anyone could delete anyone’s data by knowing their email address.
There is no deletion button inside the app. Signing out, which the app does offer, does not delete anything: it leaves the data on your device exactly as it is and leaves the backup in place.
Everything held on our side, which is the account and the study data backed up under it:
Deleted
---
Your email address and, if you set one, your display name
Topic mastery percentages
Your review queue — question identifiers and their due dates
Bookmarked cards and questions
Study day history and streak
Question and accuracy counts
App settings that were backed up (reminder, timed quizzes, list style)
The account and its data are removed within 30 days of the request. Copies inside routine encrypted database backups are overwritten as those backups age out, within a further 90 days, after which nothing remains.
Anything stored on your phone. The app keeps your progress locally whether or not you have an account, and we cannot reach it. Deleting the app’s storage from Android’s system settings, or uninstalling the app, removes that copy. Deleting your account does not.
Your subscription. Cornerstone Plus is billed by Google Play, not by us, and deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel it in the Play Store app under Payments and subscriptions, or at https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. An account and a subscription are separate things — a subscription follows your Google Play account, not a Cornerstone account, and works with no Cornerstone account at all.
Your purchase history at Google. Records of a purchase are held by Google Play under Google’s own policies, and are not ours to delete. RevenueCat, which checks whether a subscription is active, holds the purchase receipt Google issued together with an anonymous identifier it generates for the installation. Neither is linked to a Cornerstone account, so deleting the account does not affect them; to have those removed as well, say so in the same email and they will be deleted too.
